Our next Club meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, 8/15, at 7:00 pm at the Clover Building at the Boulder County Fairgrounds, 9595 Nelson Road, in Longmont.
Join us to learn how to build a high-power mag loop and auto-tuner. Hopefully a number of us will be undertaking a build project and you can be one of the happy builders. We will overview some technical options for the antenna and auto-tuner, and also the costs for the projects. Depending on your preferences, the loop antenna can handle 10W or up to hundreds of watts. This is a great option for club members with HOA or other location restrictions. We will order parts for these projects in the near future, so be sure to come and express your interest in this project.
Have you ever considered going to a far-off island or country and have tens of thousands of hams try to contact you? Some people do, and it is called a Dxpedition. This month we look at dxpeditions, how to contact them, and what it is like to be involved in the effort. Come join us and take a trip around the world!
